Agent Programme Terms

The Schola Agent Programme lets you earn by introducing schools to Schola. There are two tiers: Referrer and Agent. Everyone starts as a Referrer. You may be upgraded to Agent after you have brought at least three live schools and completed a short training.

When a school signs up using your referral code or link, that school is attributed to you. You then earn a share of every subscription payment that school makes to Schola.

Referrer: 40% of the school’s first payment, then 8% of each of their next five payments.

Agent: 50% of the school’s first payment, then 25% of every payment the school makes, for as long as you remain an active Agent.

Commission is calculated on the payment the school actually makes, up to a ceiling of the first 300 students on that payment. Payments above that ceiling do not increase your commission.

Your earnings on a school’s first payment are also capped at ₦100,000 (the amount you receive, after any tax). This cap applies once per school, to that school’s first payment only — later payments from the same school are not capped.

If the government requires tax (withholding tax) to be deducted from commission, it is deducted before you are paid, and shown to you.

A school is attributed to the first agent whose code or link they use when they sign up. Attribution is set once, at signup, and does not change afterwards. A code entered later, or after signup, does not attribute the school.

You may not refer a school that you own or administer yourself. Self-referrals earn no commission.

Commission unlocks 15 days after the school’s payment has cleared. Once unlocked, it becomes available to withdraw.

Payouts are processed on the 1st and 16th of each month to the verified bank account on your profile. You must add and verify a bank account before you can withdraw.

We verify your bank account name before saving it and pay only to that verified account.

If a school’s payment is refunded or reversed for any reason, the commission earned on that payment is cancelled. If it has already been paid to you, it is deducted from your next payout. There is no time limit on this.

To keep Agent rates, an Agent is expected to remain the first point of contact for their schools, respond to their schools’ issues, keep at least three live schools, and check in with Schola regularly. An Agent who stops meeting these may be moved back to Referrer rates on their schools.

Schola may suspend an account for fraud, fake schools, abuse of the programme, or breach of these terms. A suspended account earns no new commission. Commission already earned and cleared is not affected unless it relates to fraudulent activity.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your bank details and for any tax you owe on what you earn. We collect your NIN for records only.

We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we may ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
